If you can't already tell, we're obsessed with creating beautiful spaces. We're 24 years old and will be the first to admit that we don't know everything, but what we do know is how to make a space look good. We're taking that passion with BSL Studios and designing classic homes that families can create memories in for years to come.

more about us...

making the new look old, and the old look new.

BSL Studios would not exist without her sister company, By Sophia Lee. What once started in her dorm room, Sophia and her team have grown BySophiaLee.com (lovingly known as BSL) into a website that helps more than 1 million monthly readers decorate, organize, and clean their dorm rooms, apartments, and now, homes.

After quickly dominating the dorm and apartment niche, we are eager to get into home design. Homes allow us full control to showcase the BSL aesthetic and vision. With the mix of traditional, modern and rustic design, Sophia and the team are excited to be able to put the BSL touch onto their current and future projects.

BSL Studios' first home is a 1920s Tudor located in beautiful Whitefish Bay, WI. The project is a labor of love and our most exciting venture yet. We are teaming up with a production company to film the entire process to show the good, the bad, and the ugly of the renovation. We can't wait to take you along through every aspect of the project!

NOVEMBER

Construction is in full swing. The plaster is completely gone, the addition has walls, and we're finally getting to the good stuff. Now we wait for the windows to arrive so we can really get this thing done!

DECEMBER

The two-story addition is up! Windows were supposed to be installed this month, but like everything else in the world, have been delayed. It’s given us more time to add some special features to the home… Did someone say butler's pantry?!

the new addition!

JANUARY

The wall has been torn down and the existing living room is now open to the new kitchen/dining area. We were freaking out!!

FEBRUARY

Windows were finally put in which means the fun stuff can begin! Drywall went up, we picked paint colors, and we finalized lots of design decisions.

MARCH

The house is starting to feel like a home. Things are moving fast as we come down to the last month.

APRIL

It's crunch time now. The cabinets are installed, countertops are in, wall details and painting are wrapping up, and now we wait and see if everything can be finished in time for the movers. It's going to come down to the last minute!

so crazy!

MAY

Move-in day! We ran into a few snags this month but also had something really exciting happen too! You'll hear us talk about this in the future ;).

THE HOME IS COMPLETED! What an amazing, insanely hard, but extremely rewarding past year! House goes on market week of June 26th.
